About You

A few quick details so we can identify you as the person making this Will. Takes about 2 minutes.

Northern Ireland has its own succession law, so it has its own Will. If you live in England or Wales, start your England & Wales Will instead → (same price). For Scotland, which we do not cover, see mygov.scot.

Your Wishes

Your Wishes

Who should inherit, and any specific gifts you want to leave. Skip past anything that doesn't apply.

Most people finish this page in about 4 minutes. Nothing is final until you review everything at the end — and one free update is included, so anything here can be changed later.

Including adopted and step-children if you wish to include them.

Property

Do you own a home or other property? If not, skip this.

Business Assets

A sole-trader business, or a straightforward gift of your shares or partnership interest to a named person or into your residuary estate, can be included. If your business has a shareholder or partnership agreement (buy-out or pre-emption rights), business property relief planning, or a trust to hold it, a solicitor should draft that part. Skip if not applicable.

Specific Gifts (optional)

Items, sums of money, or accounts you want to leave to specific people. Skip if you'd rather everything go through the residuary.

The Rest of Your Estate (Residuary)

Everything left after debts, funeral costs and specific gifts. Who should receive it?

Your Executors

Your Executors

Executors carry out your wishes. One name is enough to continue — most people add a second as backup, and executors can also be beneficiaries.

Only three things are needed on this page: your date of birth, your home address, and the name of one executor. Everything else is optional and can be added later. Your Will must state your address and date of birth — they go into the legal wording; nothing is posted to you.

Not sure who to choose? Many people pick their partner, an adult child, a sibling or a close friend, and an executor can also inherit. You only need one name to continue, and you can change your executors later: one free update is included after payment.

Choose people you trust who are likely to outlive you and are capable of managing financial and legal matters. Executor addresses are optional — they help identify people, and your Will stays valid if an executor later moves house.
Executor 1 (Primary)
Executor 2 (Substitute — optional, but recommended)
Funeral & Final Wishes (optional)

Not legally binding, but a helpful guide for your executors and family.

Thank You — Your Will Is Being Prepared

Your Will is being generated now and will be usually delivered to your email within 24 hours. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for your completed document.

Once received, print the PDF and sign it in front of two independent witnesses who must both be present at the same time — they watch you sign, then each of them signs too. Neither witness may be a beneficiary, or married to one, or their gift fails. Then store it somewhere safe.
